- Bargates is a unique site within Burton, and currently presents the largest opportunity for redevelopment in the Town Centre.
The Council would like to see development of the whole site, and a Development Brief has been prepared to provide planning
guidance.
The brief includes three possible options for the development of the site, which contain different uses, for example a hotel,
restaurants, retail, offices etc. All three options contain proposals for new housing on the site.
This consultation is to find out what people want to see on the site, and whether they like or dislike any particular aspects
of the three options. The Council expects that parts of each of the 3 options may be favoured, and these ideas may be then
be developed further into a preferred option for further consultation.
