Derby Road is a strategically important gateway into Burton on Trent and provides an opportunity to promote the town as being a pleasant place to live, work and play. In 2010 East Staffordshire Borough Council consulted residents on a series of plans for the redevelopment of the Derby Road corridor.
The Derby Road Masterplan was adopted by Cabinet earlier this year and now the Council is looking at the first phase, which is a landscaping project starting near to the Clay Mills junction on the A38 and goes down to the roundabout at James Brindley way. The proposed works to be carried out include hedge laying, tree planting, scrub clearance and access improvements. Sketches of the Landscape Masterplan and a consultation leaflet can be found under the the Supporting Documents tab below.
If you wish to comment on Landscape Masterplan please log in and give us your thoughts. We will then collate these comments/ideas and make any changes necessary.
The Consultation ends on Friday 1st July 2011.
